CROSSING THE THRESHOLD book launch and exhibition

Door Ajar Comics are launching their much-anticipated new book, Crossing the Threshold: Stories of the Weird, the Queer, and the Uncanny at Blunt Knife Co. with a coinciding art exhibition.

As well as drinks, snacks, and general merriment, there will be a short Q&A with the book’s creators, Levi J. Richards and august (in the wake of) dawn, hosted by MB, and an exhibition showing art from the book, and sharing some of the process behind creating it.

Door Ajar Comics is an Edinburgh-based small press creating zines and comics exploring the Weird, the Queer, and the Uncanny. From a young girl challenging the Beast which haunts the dreams of her friends, to a man struggling to fill his vampire-minister father’s shoes, the collection of short comics explores trans identity through a Gothic lens, using the fluidity of the Weird to delve into the cracks between binaries.

We’ll have copies for sale on the night, but you can find more info about the book here, and can pre-order a copy.
