BKco. is very excited to present the INDIE ARTIST MINI-MARKET, featuring four amazing local indie artists.
On Saturday 26 March, from midday to 4pm our event space will be filled with art prints, stickers, original works and more from the following artists:
Isabel works mainly with collage and relief printmaking. She creates colourful, surreal photomontages drawing source material and cuttings from magazines, event flyers and more. Isabel will have a collection of framed collages for sale, along with mounted lino print minis, stickers and bookmarks.
Fru Farkas is a Hungarian illustrator living in Edinburgh. In her art, she usually mixes different techniques such as watercolour, gouache, pencils and risograph. Her inspiration often comes from everyday life, general human struggles and nostalgic memories from growing up in the Hungarian countryside. Besides her passion for illustrating, she also enjoys creating pointless animations, and experimenting with ceramics.
Emma Maher is an Irish artist living in Edinburgh. She studied printmaking at Limerick School of Art & Design, Ireland and opened her small business in April 2021. As an avid watercolour artist and illustrator, Emma's work captures the beauty of the natural world with botanical elements seen throughout many of her designs and materials. Her work features detailed floral designs, wood slice paintings and collage.
Nyree is a collage artist based in Edinburgh creating pieces that explore feminism, gender roles, contemporary culture and society. Through combining vintage and modern imagery Nyree creates a unique aesthetic and visual commentary on the world around us. Fascinated by ideas surrounding the male and female gaze, Ny’s collages are playful experiments in image manipulation inspired by these themes.
