This workshop operates on a by donation / pay-what-you-can structure. The recommended donation for anyone who has a comfortable income is £5 but please adjust this amount to suit your own situation. Please register and bring cash to donate on the day.

*This workshop is specifically for women and people of marginalised genders.*

Please note that we have limited spaces available, so please only reserve a ticket if you intend on coming, not as a placeholder.

From Michelle:

Writing can be cathartic, a way to process feelings and experiences. But it can be lonely - as it's a solitary activity. So Writing for Wellness workshops are a space for people to come together and write. There's no experience necessary. All you need is an open mind and something to write with. I prefer old school pen and paper, as it's a more mindful experience that way; the feeling of pen on paper, the smell of ink. But the main thing is that you come, write and experience the wonder of words. There will be a short intro, writing time and then a chat at the end. Someone once called this workshop "yoga for the brain".

Michelle is the founder of Specky Scribbler, where she offers copywriting and brand development to organisations who need help finding their voice. Originally from Dublin, Michelle lives in Edinburgh where she enjoys reading, writing and battling the wind while reading outdoors. She firmly believes that everyone can write, and wants to help as many people as she can to find their words.
